Pappy Van Winkle 20-Year Bourbon History, Overview, Aroma/Taste and Qualities Of A Good Whiskey
Pappy Van Winkle 20-yeas bourbon, whisky, or Whiskey is a type of distilled alcohol beverage commonly made from fermented grains mash. More so, these grains may be malted into different varieties like corn, wheat, and rye, and this whisky is typically aged in new casks made from charred white oak.
The name derives from the French Bourbon dynasty, although the precise inspiration is uncertain; contenders include Bourbon County in Kentucky and Bourbon Street in New Orleans, both of which are named after the dynasty. The name “Bourbon” was not applied until the 1850s, and the Kentucky etymology was not advanced until the 1870s.
